It's complicated though. My head tells me that it wasn't that great of a film and pointed out all the flaws. My feeling are an entirely different discussion. It didn't matter how good the film was, it was a chance to reconnect to the characters I fell in love with while reading the books. My head also tells me that the books weren't that well written (although the author is a good storyteller), but I have to say... I was hooked from the first chapter and devoured all four books in less than a week. This is all to say that YES, it is a chick flick and YES it is completely irrational how I feel about these books.
