So, here’s where I show you I’m good at something other than pissing people off for a living. My project today – my day off – was to take a pair of Melissa’s jeans and distress them myself using a power sander, bleach, block of wood, stone and steel rod. It was my first attempt and surprisingly successful, though a little time consuming (which is, of course, why distressed jeans by Hollister, Abercrombie and such cost so much; it’s a labor-intensive process). Since the temps here are dipping below 90 degrees now and it’s time to start wearing jeans, I’m ready to pimp some of my own jeans now. Fashionista? Hardly, though I have to say I’ve surprised myself with these results: check it out:
