I watched Iron Man last night. Grabbed the Blu-Ray version and watched it on my PS3 (on a plasma HDTV, with a 1200w home theater; no, I’m not bragging). Quite good. Downey did a good job, I think. There wasn’t that much chemistry between Paltrow and Downey, though.
I think it was kind of an awkward chemistry between them, and it’d be good to see that develop in the next movie which has been announced…. — by the way, I love the sound of your setup (I have an Onkyo receiver powering 6.1 speakers from Hsu Research, check ‘em out if you love great sound).
I went ahead and grabbed an Onkyo home-theater-in-a-box, the HT-S5100. Eventually, I will likely upgrade to some nice floor-standing speakers. The only gripe I have now is that the subwoofer is awfully “airy” and I think I need to tweak the balance.
About Paltrow: She is a beautiful lady, but I just felt “blah” watching them. I am willing, however, to suspend judgment pending the next IM movie.
