A few weeks ago, I downloaded Second Life without consciously connecting it with libertarianism. How interesting that, only a few weeks later, Drew Carey presents this video about Second Life as an experiment in liberty, in the same way that America could have been called an experiment in liberty when it first began to be colonized. I’m not certain about the ease with which normal people can enjoy the liberties that Second Life has to offer. But it’s true that the internet is the most potent custodian of our freedoms, and that Second Life is a great example of a libertarian ’society’.
