As for Heath Ledger - his performance as the Joker was fantastic, topping Jack Nicholson's portrayal a few years back. Of course, as with any character it;s not all the genius of the actor - the writing, the direction, hell even the make-up department all help make any performance great. Worthy of an Oscar? Who knows the rhyme or reason why certain Oscars are given out. All I can say is that he played the role fantastically well. S.
