It's hot.... extremely in the summer. People with 'water toys' (jetskis and powerboats) come here to party and vacation and play on the lake, and we get especially busy on Memorial weekend, 4th of July weekend and Labour Day weekend in September. My folks are flying out from Belfast in a couple of weeks; it's become their holiday spot.... which is handy for me! Your story about the car sounds like a typical bank holiday Monday in Britain. We've just had our bank holiday weekend here in the middle of England and it bloody well rained non-stop. I decided we'd get out of the house on Sunday so we drove to a country pub. I got distracted as we got out of the car and left my lights on. Two hours (and an excellent meal) later I returned to find the car lifeless in the middle of a flooded car park. Happy holidays indeed :-). Honestly didn’t know there was such a holiday in the US. Thanks for the info.
