Interview: Mary Beth Brown on Condi Rice

March 5th, 2008 · 1 Comment

CondiCondoleezza Rice is a brilliant, shining light of a woman who I’ve always admired at a distance. Regardless of what you think of the Bush administration generally, Secretary of State Rice has always been exceptionally great at her job; she’s a believer in freedom, free markets and capitalism, and she’s a dependable and competent diplomat. With speculation now that John McCain may offer her a chance to run alongside him for the vice-presidency of the United States, I interviewed bestselling author Mary Beth Brown, whose biography Condi: The Life of a Steel Magnolia was released about a month ago, and gained an even greater appreciation for the current US Secretary of State. After hearing this I’m keener on her than I was, however she’s still a part of a reprehensible administration and I can’t forgive that.
