But there’s one thing absolutely certain: tough laws banning guns have never stopped it happening. On the contrary, tough laws banning guns make it easier to accomplish! If only one of those innocent students in that room yesterday had been carrying a firearm for self-defense, there’s a good chance that lives may have been saved by the actions he could have taken on behalf of himself and his fellow students. Instead, the law prevented him doing that, and essentially created the circumstances in which they could become victims.
