Nice to see that someone agrees with me about polygamy, saying almost exactly the same as what I did on the Warren Jeffs case at the time of his arrest several months ago.
Forcing someone into sex or marriage is wrong, whether it’s a plural marriage or a single marriage. Forcing a child into sex or marriage is wrong. Abusing a spouse or child or anyone else is also wrong. But plain ol’ polygamy is no more inherently right or wrong than monogamy. The issues in the Jeffs case are child abuse, sexual abuse, coercion, corruption, brainwashing.
Jeffs was convicted recently on two counts of rape as an accomplice.
