I quite like the idea of creating confectionary religious art. How about the liquorice sermon on the mount, or the marshmallow last supper? Or maybe we could have an entire life of Jesus in honeycomb? If you ask me the best ingredient would be nuts: that would speak volumes.

Bloody ridiculous. In all that you said they were free to do, they used that freedom in stupid ways. The artist was free to make a chocolate Jesus, but it was a useless thing to do. The Catholic League was free to protest, but why do it? This whole story is just stupid, and the idea in the first place was sensationalism.

I completely agree. The government happens in this rare case to be blameless! What a turnup for the books! It is unfortunate that religious people can’t see something they disagree with for religious reasons without protesting about it or trying to get it banned, but at least rights were upheld in this case and I wouldn’t be surprised if this isn’t the last time we see chocolate jesus.
